David Verona Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Verona of Ottawa, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Russell Verona; his father-in-law Ronald Hazard; and his niece Tommi Vangelisti. He is survived by: his mother Julie Verona (Pretto) of Ottawa; his wife Diane Hazard; his daughters, Jessica Verona (Amanda) of LaSalle and Lauren Martinez (Michael) of Peru; his grandsons, Parker, Nolan and Greyson; his siblings, Paul Verona (Julie) of Ottawa and Claudia Thomas (Don) of Pevely, MO; his mother-in-law Mary Hazard; and his sisters-in-law, Debbie Allen (Dennis) and Denise Vangelisti (Rodney). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mueller Funeral Home - Ottawa (800 1st Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350). A Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Church (726 W Jefferson St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Columba Cemetery (1800 N 2990th Rd, Ottawa, IL 61350).
