He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Serby and Nina Serby (Armstrong); his great grandchild Kyle Jones; and his siblings, Ruth Behrens, Lona Mae Stanford, Marie Murdoch, Kenneth, Vernon, Leo and Doyle Serby.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Welch; his daughters, Barbara Ross (William) of Estero, FL, Jill Brokaw (Robert) of Hernando, MS and Kay Smith of Ottawa; and his grandchildren, Robert Jones, Grant Brokaw, Valerie Contreras, Marcus Polancic and Jackson Smith. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
