She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Nelson and Catherine Nelson (Piercy); her daughter Joanne Redlich (Haage); and her siblings, SeDell Eirhart, Dorothy Duncan, Gale Nelson, Howard "Sonny" Nelson and Kay Schmitt.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Haage; her sons, Michael Haage (Lois) and Steven Haage (Barb); her son-in-law Jim Redlich; her grandchildren, Jacob Redlich (Courtney), Amanda Forrer (TJ), Matt Haage (Mehgan), Laura Burkhead (Jesse), Susan Cook (John), Lindsey Donahue (Jacob), Katie Mitchell, Sarah Haage and David Brady (Dina); her great grandchildren, Vance Redlich, Sophia Forrer, Travis Forrer, Walter Haage, Grant Haage, Tessa Burkhead, Hadleigh Burkhead, Josie Donahue, Joseph Donahue, Henry Donahue, Jack Mitchell, Bodie Mitchell, Daniella Brady and Dylan Brady; her brother Delbert Nelson; her cousin Janette Crane; and her friend Cheryl Albertus. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ottawa Funeral Home (1111 La Salle St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to family to be distributed to causes that would've been important to Betty.
