She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Dougherty and Alice Dougherty (Munger); her husband Ronald Serby; her son Glenn Edward Serby; and her siblings, Marrine Youngman and John Dougherty.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Serby (Melissa) of Ottawa and JoAnne Even; and her grandchildren, Kylie Even, Nicholas Serby, Allen Serby, Jacob Serby, Keegan Even and Katherine Serby.
The family will direct memorial contributions, in Arlis' name to the American Stroke Association.
