Ann (McGinnis) Byers Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ann (McGinnis) Byers of Ottawa, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan McGinnis and Ann McGinnis (McGraw); her husband Francis Byers (Sonny); her daughter Jeanne Byers; her siblings, Tom McGinnis and Mary Whren (Bob); her stepgrandson Brad Dittmyre; and her nephews, Dan Whren and Robb McGinnis.
She is survived by: her son Jim Byers (Deb); her granddaughter Christine Abella (Tony); her stepgranddaughter Kelly Forgatch; her great grandchildren, Isabella and Angelica Abella; her stepgrandchildren, Jada Dittmyre, Brook and Brennan Forgatch; her brothers, Jim McGinnis (Alice), Dan McGinnis (Antionette) and Ed McGinnis (Rosemary); and her sister-in-law Barb McGinnis. She is also survived by nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mueller Funeral Home - Ottawa (800 1st Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350). A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (820 Sanger St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the St. Columba Cemetery (1800 N 2990th Rd, Ottawa, IL 61350).
