He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Konczal and Adele Konczal; and his wife Linda. He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Konczal and Rhonda Johnson (Peter); his grandsons, Elias and Samuel Johnson; and his brother Bill Konczal (late Sara Lou).

In Lieu of flowers Memorials in his name may be given to American Parkinson Disease Association.
