He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Patricia; his niece Beth; and his nephew Ken. He is survived by: his wife Joyce of Oswego; his children, Steven Hoelzer (Maggie) of Earlville, Ruth Wolfe (Carl) of Carol Stream, Jolene Martinec (David) of West Chicago, Vickie Donofrio (Anthony) of Prospect, KY and Dawn Shenberg of Elgin; his grandchildren, Kyle Wolfe, Kristin Bryce Wolfe, Kara Wolfe, Kathryn Martinec, Allison Martinec, Meghan Shenberg, Alexander Hoelzer, Andrew Martinec, Connor Shenberg, Andrea Donofrio, Marissa Donofrio, Erin Chrusciel and Michael Chrusciel; his siblings, Dolores Barnett (Robert) of LaSalle, Teresa Yoccum (Michael) of Lafayette, IN, Velda Reed (Richard) of Shelbyville and Eldon Hoelzer of Troy Grove; and his siblings-in-law, Frank John Grubar (Judy), Janice Moriarity (George) and Joann Olson (Edward). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
