Though Leslie Charles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Leslie Charles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Nelson and Katherine Nelson (Romanowski); and his sister-in-law Susan Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Nelson of Oswego, IL; his daughters, Heather Nelson of Plano, IL, Holly Noland (Jeffrey) of Wonder Lake, IL and Brittany Nelson (Dennis Senemuongdong) of Schaumburg, IL; his grandsons, Aury, Collin and Connor; and his brothers, Joseph Nelson and Kert Nelson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home - Yorkville (1617 N Bridge St, Yorkville, IL 60560). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (406 Walnut St, Yorkville, IL 60560).
