He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Vanek; and his parents, Robert Vanek and Lorraine Vanek. He is survived by: his children, Lori Vanek of Darien, IL and Scott Vanek (Nicole) of Marietta, GA.; his grandchildren, Victoria Cannici, Caden and Braylon Vanek; and his sister-in-law Judy Strzelecki. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and "Papa V" to many friends.
