It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gene Ray Leifheit of Oswego, Illinois, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Leifheit and Lillian Ruth Leifheit (Campbell); his stepmother Gladys Leifheit (Goble); and his brother Ken (late Marie). He is survived by: his wife Joan K. Webster; his children, Gregory G. Leifheit and Kristine K. Mewmaw (Gregory); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Leifheit, Jonathan Leifheit, Kyle and Corinne Mewmaw. He is also survived by many step siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Luke's Lutheran Church (63 Fernwood Rd, Montgomery, IL 60538). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Montgomery.
