She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Olsen and Georgia Olsen (Messer); and her nephew Thad Wessels. She is survived by: her husband George Schmitt; her children, Randall Schmitt, Pamela Cleghorn (Robert), Sandra Kraft (Rob) and Jodi Kearbey (Tom); her siblings, Gayle Skaugen (Borg), Salley Wessels (Phil) and Steve Olsen (Bonnie); and her sister-in-law Pat Smith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
