It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Penner of Oswego, Illinois, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James McVicker and Gertrude McVicker (Muir) of Aurora, IL.; and her husband Henry Penner. She is survived by: her children, Michael Ellis (late Jane Stombres), Gregory (Janet), Jeffrey (Carol), Glenda Nugent (Jack), Timothy (Patty), Diane Baum (Mark) and Susan Schauer (Steven).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Barbara's memory to Woman's Club of Aurora, 1286 Colorado Ave, Aurora IL 60506 for distribution to Barb's favorite charities or may be sent to The American Indian Center, 3401 W. Ainslie St. Chicago IL 60625.
