He was predeceased by: his wife Mary "Jean"; his child Baby Mark Gaynor; his parents, Michael Gaynor and Margaret Gaynor; and his brothers, Joe Gaynor (Pat) and Ed Gaynor (Gina).
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Gaynor (Lisa) and James Gaynor (Maureen); his grandchildren, Lauren (Chuck), Rebecca (Brendan), Erin, Kathryn and Ryan; and his sister Mary Patricia Linsley (late James).
