He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen McKinney and Lora McKinney; his sister Carol Cline; and his sibling-in-law Thomas Maher. He is survived by: his wife Debra A. McKinney; his son Samuel McKinney, Jr. (Amanda); his grandchildren, Brandy Kmiecik (Clay) and Roain McKinney; his great grandchildren, Libby, Grant and Kinsley; his siblings, Estil M. McKinney (Patricia) and Kenneth McKinney; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Hojnacki (John), Joanne Burton, John Maher (Sandy), James Maher (Sue), Daniel Maher (Doug Tricker), Therese Magden and Matthew Maher (Rachel).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel (15525 73rd Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 9:15 AM and at 10:00 AM.
