He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Hegarty; his siblings, William and Dolores Holland (Jim); and his son Ricky Hegarty. He is survived by: his sister Rebecca Hegarty; his children, Gene Spanos (Michelle), Michael Spanos (Susan) and Russell Spanos (Gina); his grandchildren, Jason (Jaimee), Lauren, Matt, Michael (Amanda), Melissa and Joe; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Liam, Jordy and Kaia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
