He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Sliwa; his children, John Janda (Melody), Elizabeth (Daniel Harkness) and Michael Jr. (Dominika); his grandchildren, Natalia, Leona, Susanna, Daniela and Lilianka; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley Wall, Adam Wall and Simon Koscielniak; his parents, Leonard Sliwa and Marie Sliwa; his siblings, Debra Sliwa, Jeffery Sliwa and James Sliwa (Maryla); and his godchildren, Nicole Modjeski, James Sliwa and Hannah Sliwa.
