A Mass was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine Church (Formally St. Christopher Church) (4130 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445).

“I have lived across the hall from John and Pat O'Connell for over 11 years. John was the kindest, sweetest, gentlest, and funniest person I have ever known. Whenever I would see him in the hall or tinkering in his garage, he always had a funny story to tell, and a joke or two in his pocket. John and Pat were active in Gaelic park, dancing there at least twice a week. I used to joke with them and say, "My back goes out more than I do, - you two are amazing"! I will miss him more than I can say.”
