Reed of Orland Park, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 22, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Reed (Jim) and Honora Reed (O'Shea); his sister Eileen Reed; his niece Jenenne Reed Meadows; his nephew Alan Reed; his son-in-law Matt Bier; his parents-in-law, Anne T. Pond and Willard M. Pond; and his brother-in-law Willard F. Pond.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Reed; his daughter Nicole T. Reed of Estero, FL; his granddaughters, Sarah Bier of Boston, MA and Madeline Bier of Cleveland, Ohio; his son John M. Reed (Amanda Clark Reed) of Lockport, IL; his grandchildren, Sophia and Roland; his brother James "Jim" Reed of O'Fallon, MO; his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Reed and Marge McMahon of Darien, IL; his cousins, Camille and Rich Haase of Caledonia, IL; his nieces, Michelle Reed, Ann O'Brien of Oak Lawn, IL and Eileen Orzech (Russ Orzech) of Oak Lawn, IL; his nephew Rick Reed; his sister-in-law Danielle O'Brien of Oak Lawn, IL; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sara O'Brien of Oak Lawn, IL, Kyle, Anthony, Tyler Meadows, Jessica Reed, Emily Reed and Taylor Tettamble; and his grandchildren, Buddy, Jovie of Lockport, IL and Jack Jr.. He is also survived by nine great great nieces and nephews.
