She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Edwin Fortunato Valente; her sons, Paul (Mary), David (Carolyn) and Eric; her grandchildren, Alexia Valente Horton (Andrew), Brandon Valente and Ashley Dennett (Jordan); and her siblings, Joan Dougherty (late Jim), John "Jack" Borke (Trudy) and James Borke (late Doreen).
