He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia M. Hynes; and his parents, Frank Hynes and Florence Hynes. He is survived by: his children, Claire and Sean Hynes; his siblings, Mary Lyons (Shawn), Beth Doyle (Brian), Teresa Whisson (James), Diana Sorbellini, Laura McKenna (James), Joan Musso (Frank), Frank Hynes (Eileen), Rita Hickey (James) and Patti Seidelmann (Jerry); and his mother-in-law Mary Patricia Tobin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church (10731 W 131st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A Mass will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
