Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gary leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carleen; his children, Danielle Vander Veer (Robert) and Jason Wargowsky (Angela); his grandchildren, Dylan, Kylie, Autumn, Justin and Blake; and his brothers, Tim (Maureen), Tom (Eleni) and Rich Wargowsky (Rita). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lawn Funeral Home - Orland Park (7732 W 159th St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
