It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Yonker (Orland Park, Illinois), who passed away on May 23, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her wife Wendell; her children, Wendy Sue Van Vugt (Eric), Thomas Yonker (Judy) and Cathy Larsen (David); her grandchildren, Joshua Larsen (Deborah), Anne Vander Weele (David), Cate Jamison, Erin Haan (Craig), Heather Ramirez (Austin), Timothy Van Vugt, Jennifer Harris (Chad), Kyle Yonker (Heather) and Chad Yonker (Lorien); and her siblings, Phillip Charles Persenaire (Phyllis), Donna Leo (John), Betty Douma (late Conrad), Phyllis Groot (late John), Jean Rosier (John) and June Wolff (late Earl).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Southwest Chicago Christian School Foundation or to the Wendell and Dorothy Yonker Scholarship Fund at Calvin College are preferred.
