She was loved and cherished by many people including : her children, Kelly Gibson (Rob) and Katie Tyler (Dale); her grandchildren, Evan and Kaden; her parents, Marilyn Deckinga and John "Dub" Deckinga; and her brothers, Gary Deckinga (Wendy) and John Jr. Deckinga (Mary).

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel (15525 73rd Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462). A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 23rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Denise's family to help Evan and Kaden with expenses are appreciated.
