She was predeceased by: her parents, John Togtman and Sieke Togtman; her fiancé Gerritt Van Der Schoot; and her siblings, Martha DeGroot, Marguerite Togtman, Edna Huisenga, Nettie Ebbens, Grace Boersma and Raymond Togtman Sr..

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in her memory by the Southwest Chicago Christian School Foundation, 12001 S. Oak Park Ave., Palos Heights, IL 60463.
