He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Lindsey; his daughters, Grace and Sadie; his parents, James Holwerda and Debra Holwerda; his siblings, Gregory Holwerda (Maria) and Lindsey Camphouse (Zach); his parents-in-law, Andrew and Christine Schutt; and his brothers-in-law, Andrew Schutt (Dawn) and Timothy Schutt (Amy).
