She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald W. Arend; her parents, Benjamin Gottlof and Ellen Gottlof; and her siblings, James Gotloff and Julia Britton.

She is survived by: her children, William Arend, Mary Hoster (Jeff) and Lori Valiga (Mark); her grandchildren, Amanda, Bethany Hoster, Adam and Evan Valiga; and her pet Queenie.
