He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Frances; his son Dr. Ronald Bonaguro (Sheila); his grandchildren, Dr. Anne Marie, Patricia, James, Mary Therese and Michael Bonaguro; his parents, Angelina Bonaguro and Domenico Bonaguro; his sibling Armida Galvan (late Andrew); and his sister-in-law Isabelle Nocera.

“My Dearest Uncle Lefty, Aunt Frances and Ron… Uncle Lefty has been a part of my heart my entire life. Even though not seeing both him and Aunt Frances throughout years, you have never left me in my deepest soul. The kindness, the love, the gentleness you have shown me that I had so desperately needed had brought me to our loving Father in heaven. Distance has not lessened the devastation that I feel, the deepest sorrow. Father God now embraces his angel who has come home. And I cry.”
