We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2025, at the age of 97, Joan Mary Heneghan (Orland Hills, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara E. Hughes (Gier) and William P; and her siblings, Eileen Molloy, Mary Alice Morgan, Bernice Sullivan, Patricia Lassendrello, Suzanne Moran, Barbara Dorsey, Diane Brennan, Janet Gartland, William, James, Walter, John, Michael and David.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Heneghan; her children, Susan (Jose Tapia), Nancy (late Edward Hickey), James (late Deborah), Matthew (Therese) and Mark (Andra); her son-in-law David Pyzik; her cousin Mary Anne Houlihan; her sisters-in-law, Gloria Hughes and Judy Hughes; her children, Paul and Joan; and her grandson William. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church (9300 W 167th St, Orland Hills, IL 60487).
Contributions to Joan's memory can be made to the Arthritis Foundation in honor of her husband Paul.
