He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman William and Eleanor Julie Swanson (Youngberg); his son Barry; his brother Everett Swanson; and his brother-in-law George Anderson.
He is survived by: his spouse Iris King; his children, Randy W. Swanson (Laura), Gregg Swanson, Tim Swanson (Carolyne) and Clay Swanson (Michelle); his siblings, Wayne Swanson (Kathy) of Lynn Center, Eunice Anderson, Marilyn Johnson and Jane Hollins (Don); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Irene Swanson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren.
