He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wagner and Irma Wagner (Cronk); his wife Sharon Ackerson; his daughter Janet Heier; his grandson Joshua Wagner; and his brothers, Charles, Jr., Richard and Jerry.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Wagner (Peggy) of Baileyville, IL, Joyce LaPier (Dana) of Belvidere, IL, Jeffrey Wagner (Liz) of German Valley, IL, Dawn Valdés Wagner of Sharon, WI and Chad Wagner of Oregon, IL; his grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, Rebekah, Ben, Ashlea, Kyle, Kyle H., Brooke, Isa, Emily, Juan, Faith, Jovani and Carlos; and his sisters, Dorothy Capes of Mt. Morris, IL, Patricia Carpenter of Belvidere, IL, Peggy Janssen of Oregon, IL, Shirley Palmer of Leaf River, IL and Beverly Snyder of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is established for the Mt. Morris Moose Club.
