He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore J. and Mary E. Suneson (Gray); and his brother Theodore Suneson. He is survived by: his wife Jean Lundquist of Oregon; his sons, William Suneson, Jr. (Sara) of Rochelle and Timothy Suneson (Kristyn) of Aurora, CO; his sister Ann Gantzer (Lorenzo) of Erie, CO; his grandchildren, Margaret Suneson, Katherine Suneson, Quinn Suneson, Tanner Suneson and Theodore Suneson; and his parents-in-law, Mark, Annette Johnson and Bill. He is also survived by partners, dinner companions, and friends; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are established for The Alzheimer's Association, Serenity Hospice and Oregon United Methodist Church.
