He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Steward and Novella Steward (Harper). He is survived by: his wife Jan Rubly; his children, Sheldon Steward (Tina), Roman Steward (Stacy Corona) and Nadia Stenulson (Steve); his grandchildren, Shay Steward, Jazlyn Steward, Sabrie Satterwhite (Michael), Roman Steward Jr., Alyssa Steward, Preston and Gavin Sanders; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Michael III, Alessia Satterwhite and Sophia Satterwhite; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler and Kolbe Mangruen; his sisters, Marva Coleman (James), Carolyn Williams (Tommy), Deborah Collins (Gerald), Lacarthia Steward, Vanessa Stafford, Mechole Black (Wayne) and Phillipia Phillips (David); his aunt Sarah; his uncle Cecil "Tim"; and his close friends, Shane, Tiffany Stuart, Quoc and Tuyen Tran. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
