He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grzywa and Barbara Grzywa (Koziol); his wife Mary Wells; his son Ronald Grzywa; and his siblings, Virgil, Richard, Dorothy and Joan.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Grzywa (Frances) of Germantown Hills, IL, Christine Krause (Chia) of Loves Park, IL, Douglas Grzywa of Lake, Stephen Grzywa (Mary) of Marseilles, IL, Mark Grzywa (Elisabeth) of Downers Grove, IL, Kenneth Grzywa of Maple Park, IL, Eric Grzywa (Connie) of Drums, PA and Timothy Grzywa (Leanne) of Winter Garden, FL; and his brother Jack Grzywa of LeRoy, IL. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home - Oregon (110 S 7th St, Oregon, IL 61061). A rosary was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Mary Catholic Church (301 N 4th St, Oregon, IL 61061).
Memorial donations can be made in his name to either the St. Mary's Catholic Church or the Oregon Fire Dept.
