She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Harry and Florence Cliff Nielsen (Ransom); her husband Robert E. Etnyre; her siblings, Nancy Townsend (Richard), Arthur and John Nielsen; and her son Jonathan Daniel Etnyre.
She is survived by: her children, David Etnyre of Rockford, Catherine Corbett (Charles) of Falls and Robert S. Etnyre of Rockford; her brother Daniel Nielsen (Alice) of Green Valley, AZ; and her grandchildren, Thaddeus Rahn, Daniel Rahn (Angela), Katie Rahn, Jeremiah Rahn (Catrina), William Etnyre (Shannon), Amanda Guidos and Hannah King (Brian). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
A memorial fund is established in Sylvia's name for Faith Center or the charity of the donor's choice.
