He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Ruthe and Rena Ruthe (Meiners); and his siblings, Calvin, Marvin Ruthe, Esther Hagemann and Lucille Ruthe.
He is survived by: his wife Janice K Hodgson; his sons, Todd Ruthe (Charlene) of Oregon, IL, Jeffrey Ruthe of Rockford and Michael Ruthe of Chicago; his brother Dale Ruthe of Baileyville, IL; and his grandchildren, Amber Ruthe (Austin Cooper), Kyle Ruthe (Haley Salazar) and Evan Ruthe (Melinda Egli). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund is established for the Ebenezer Reformed Church and the Serenity Hospice and Home in Lloyd's name.
