He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Gaston and Irene Law Gaston (Law). He is survived by: his former wives, Donna Toney of Mt. Morris and Elizabeth George of Mt. Morris; his wife Veronica Gaston of Davenport; his children, Stephen Gaston (Erin), Chad Gaston (Tracy), Jennifer Morrison (Bryan) and Lindsey Gaston; his stepsons, Josh Wolbers and Adam Wolbers (Meghan); his grandchildren, Zachary, Gia, Jack and Cole; his stepgrandchildren, Grace, Neil and Evelyn; his sisters, Diana Williams and Camille Thomsett (Rob); his nephews, Michael and Ben; and his niece Amelia.

“Had the pleasure of meeting Lamont at, Highland Community College 1968, Freeport, IL, A very gung-ho Marine and was our quarterback in the HCC Veteran's Club. He was a true credit to himself and his beliefs! He created the family recreational area near Mt. Morris, IL known as Lake LaDonna, named for his first wife.”
