He was predeceased by: his son Michael Stroh; his great grandchild Blane Powell; his brother Robert Pelsma (Ruth); and his sister-in-law Claudia Robertson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Nice of Oregon; his daughter Glenna "Diane" Shuman (Jim) of Oregon; his granddaughters, Kristine Hires (Kenny) of Hawthorne, Florida and Jill Shaw (Neil) of Oregon, IL; his great grandchildren, Morgan Thomas (Gage), Laura Estep (Brandon), Alexandria Withers, Brady and Benjamin Powell; and his great great grandchildren, Savannah, Gabriele, Austin, Astrid and Ivy.
A memorial fund is established for the Rock River Center, 810 South 10th Street in Oregon, Illinois.
