Debra Lynn Pierce Obituary
Debra Lynn Pierce , 59, of Mount Morris/Oregon, Illinois passed away on December 31st at 10:55pm on her birthday after a courageous 19 month battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughters; Leslie Young (husband Ryan Young) of Oregon, WI and Kellie Dominessy (husband Brian Dominessy) of Coral Springs, Florida. Her mother Marilyn Bodmer of Dixon, Illinois, brother Marty Johnson of Mountain Home, MO, sister Peggy Corcoran of Oregon, IL, sister Ann Johnson of Corydon, IA and her beloved dog "Izzie".
She also leaves behind two unborn grandsons who are scheduled to arrive in the world March 20th and April 27th. We know she will be watching from above. Debra is preceded in death by her father Laverne Johnson, step father Jack Bodmer and nephew Chad Johnson. Special thank you to Dr. Sam Lubner, Dr. Cliff Cho, Dr. Greg Kennedy, Dr. Kim Kinsley and the several chemo and hospice nurses that took such amazing care of Debbie through her journey.
Debbie's inspiration and bravery will not go unforgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 8th at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home in Oregon, IL from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Memorials may be made to the Carbone Cancer Center (400 Highland Blvd., Madison, WI) or Agrace Hospice (East Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI).
