He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Schell and Elizabeth Schell (Hilliard); his wife Helen Chaplin; his son Mike Schell; his son-in-law David Dwyer; and his brothers, Ivan, Phillip and Roy Schell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Scoles of Freeport, Jackie Hollandsworth (Brad) of Rockford and Mary Dwyer of Leaf River; his siblings, Jerry Schell (Glenda) of Cisne, IL., Janice Lowe of Cisne, IL and Betty Kasten of Cisne, IL; and his grandchildren, Christopher McCanse, Holly Banghart, Charles McCanse, Brittany Hollandsworth, Jennifer Hall (Travis), Lukas Dwyer (Meg), Derek Dwyer (Jennifer), Cecil Revels (Brekk) and Ashley Schell. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial fund is established in Charles's name and may be directed to his family.
