He was predeceased by: his parents, James Atkins and Edna Atkins; and his wife Mary. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Atkins of Fayetteville, Daniel Atkins of Texas and Elizabeth Weatherford (Chris) of Oreana; his grandchildren, Marissia, Makayla, Lakya, C'yanah and Lilliana; and his siblings, Janet Boys and Eddie Atkins (Marty).
