He was predeceased by: his parents, L. George and Ruth E. Hitchens, Jr. (Hoff). He is survived by: his close friend Karole Johnson of Oreana, IL; his sons, Doug Hitchens (Debbie Mullins) and Barry Hitchens (Kris); his grandchildren, Cooper Hitchens and Carly Hitchens; and his sisters, Cheryl Lehman and Charlene Letterly (Ron).
