He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Sapp and Kathryn (Ooton); his stepfather Pete Kelley; his wife Wilma "Joanie" Wyant; his daughter Donna Keathley; and his son-in-law Larry Keathley.
He is survived by: his sons, Dave Sapp (Karyn) of Warrensburg, Robert Sapp (Janet) of Maroa and Stephen Sapp of Milmine; and his sister Patricia Underwood of Mt. Zion. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donald's honor may be made to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
