He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Bodvig and Bessie Bodvig (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Susan Pinnow; his sons, Blayne Bodvig (Colleen), Joseph Thomm and Jason Thomm (Antonia); and his grandchildren, Magnus Thomm, Joey Thomm, Elwyn Thomm, Alondra Olivo and Andrea Olivo.
A memorial has been established in his name for the Orangeville Fire Department.
