She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrill Mays and Uva Mays (Solace); and her husbands, Darwin Morhardt and Romain. She is survived by: her former spouse Romaine Taft; her sons, Mike Taft (Jane) of Lena, IL, Rick Taft (Maggie) of Monroe, WI and Ron Morhardt (Kim) of Rockford; and her stepchildren, Darby Morhardt of Chicago, IL, Darwin Jr. Morhardt (Mindy) of Lena, IL and Garland Morhardt (Julie) of Freeport, IL. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
