He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wichmann and Ethal Wichmann (Solace); his wife June Wichmann; and his sister Louise Dennin. He is survived by: his son John Wichmann (Maureen) of Orangeville, IL; his stepchildren, Tim Carter (Deb) of Freeport, IL, Rick Carter of Stockton, IL and Diane Gift (Terry) of Surprise, AZ; his grandchildren, Cody, Hannah, Charity, Kyle, Michael, Ryan and Samantha; and his brother Claire Wichmann (Lois) of Cedarville, IL.. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
