With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vern Alecock of Oquawka, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 23, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Baker Alecock and Mary Elizabeth McCune Alecock; his siblings, Madelyn Millar and James Alecock; and his nephew Richard Millar.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverlye Lou Lox; his children, Tina Thompson (Steve) of Oquawka, Mike Alecock (Annie) of Smithshire, IL and Nancy Bundy (Bill) of Oquawka; his grandchildren, Jason Thompson (Jenny), Nicole Steeg (Trent), Jarod Thompson (Aimee), Eric Bundy, Heath Bundy (Lennon), Hannah Alecock, Tyler Bundy (Kayla), Emilie Norzagaray (Mark) and Addie Leath (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Darion, Michaela, Ryley, Connor, Delaney, Jacob, Theron, Kieren, Ashlin, Karaline, Lila, Maizy, Judah and Gideon; his sister Jane Spears of Biggsville; and his brother-in-law Russell Lox (Dixie).
A memorial fund has been established, and will be designated later.
