He was predeceased by: his parents, John Christian and Mabel Ione Russell (Brent); his daughter Stephanie Russell Taylor; his stepdaughter Lea Ellen Borg; his grandson Aaron Russell; and his siblings, Ora Fay Cole, Dean, Melvin and Donald Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Connie M. Borg; his former wife Pauline Rhoades; his children, Kathy Hopkins (Pat) of Oquawka, Ann Russell of Burlington, David Russell of Gladstone, John Russell of Gladstone and Michael Russell of Oquawka; and his siblings, Ruth Dirth of Burlington, Kay West of St. Louis and Tom Russell (Sandy) of Burlington, Iowa.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
