With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John R. Stivers of Oquawka, Illinois, born in Monmouth, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact John had on those he encountered along his journey. Though John may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Jack Stivers; his sons, Nathan (Stivers) and Joshua Stivers Sr. of Sparland, Illinois.; his nephew Devin (Jamie Stivers); his brother-in-law Robert Wright of Oquawka; and also Vicki Smith. He was also cherished by three grandchildren.
