The memory of Sylvester George Lisk of Opdyke, Illinois, born in Nashville, Illinois, who passed away on November 17, 2024 at the age of 56, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Lisk and Rita Lisk (Dudek); his brother Raymond Lisk (Cindy); his sister-in-law Cheryl Lynn Wilkerson; and his father-in-law Glenn Burnett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia, Anne, Madalyn and Christopher; his wife Jill Burnett; his sons, Grant and Logan; his brother Dean Lisk (Angie); his nieces and nephews, Sawyer, Eben and Hayden; his mother-in-law Evelyn Burnett; his nieces and nephews, Dustin Schierbaum (Amber), Taylor Marsh (Levi) and Zeb Adams (Tiffany); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hadley, Laytyn, Wacey Schierbaum, Briggs, Blake Marsh, Henry, Harlan and Merritt Lisk; and also, Barret, Melissa, Madalyn, Cheryl Lynn, Shelley, Gary Wilkerson (Cheryl Ann) and Monte Adams.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Opdyke Missionary Baptist Church (20383 County Rd 1000 N, Opdyke, IL 62872).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Opdyke Missionary Baptist Church to assist community members facing health challenges.
