It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kala Marie Carmon Mayo of Opdyke, Illinois, born in Litchfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 7, 2023, at the age of 19, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Ricky Mayo and Beverly Mayo of Opdyke; her siblings, Laura Mayo of Decatur, Cody Mayo of Mount Vernon, Nicholas Mayo of Opdyke and Jamie Mayo of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandparents, Janet and Kevin Heath of Decatur; and her aunt Vickie O'Dea of Mount Vernon.
